Our North West team brings together colleagues from across the Alliance partner organisations including Crown Commercial Service and NHS North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative.
Who leads the team?
Lucy Upton, Senior Category Lead – Health Workforce at Crown Commercial Service heads up the team. Lucy joined Crown Commercial Service in 2016 and has delivered the procurement of large scale framework agreements, spanning numerous categories including professional services and clinical and non-clinical contingent labour. Lucy’s focus is to deliver workforce initiatives that add value to NHS organisations and the wider public sector.
What experience does the team have?
Our North West regional team combines diverse expertise in large scale and complex procurement projects, with in depth market knowledge. With hands-on experience in NHS trusts and the public sector, particularly in temporary staffing procurement, they provide support with specific local or regional staffing requirements. The team delivers tailored solutions that support the full range of strategic workforce objectives.
How does the team collaborate with other Alliance teams?
Working within the Alliance provides the unique opportunity to leverage the diverse expertise across all five partner organisations. The team collaborates through internal working groups at every level. This enables the team to tap into the most relevant knowledge and experience from any Alliance team member, ensuring the right skills are applied to each specific workforce challenge. The Alliance works together collectively on all matters, regardless of the ‘lead’ authority for framework or region, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our trusts and suppliers collectively.
