How we work with suppliers
The NHS Workforce Alliance takes a proactive approach to managing supplier relationships. We understand that listening to market innovations, changes and challenges from a supplier’s perspective can help improve supply chain outcomes and drive better value for our NHS.
Throughout the duration of the awarded contract, we will run regular supplier meetings, as well as collect supplier cost and performance information to improve visibility of framework usage, identify improvement opportunities and build stronger relationships.
Your supplier relationship manager
All awarded suppliers, whether SME or larger, are assigned a Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) who will be a single point of contact for any queries.

Guidance on promotion
All awarded suppliers are provided with an Alliance approved supplier badge and guidance on its use. Awarded suppliers can use the badge in emails, social media, on your website or in promotional materials such as case studies. We support the promotion of our work together so if you have ideas, please get in touch with your SRM.
Management Information (MI)
Management Information (MI) is the collection of data relating to customer purchasing activity with awarded framework suppliers. Suppliers have a contractual obligation to regularly submit data for any sales made through NHS Workforce Alliance frameworks, or report no sales.
Review your awarded framework documentation for more detailed information. For any queries, please contact your SRM or the respective framework owner.
What is Management Information (MI) used for?
We use MI information to analyse purchasing patterns, benchmarking and trends as well as savings made from framework agreements. Additionally, MI helps to inform Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activity, and calculates any Activity Based Income (ABI).
Will my business be audited by the Alliance?
The Alliance runs a robust Health Assurance Audit process to ensure that workers provided by suppliers through our frameworks are compliant with the NHS Employers Check Standards as well as the obligations set out in the individual framework agreements.
