Framework information
Description
Our market engagement indicates that NHS workers are expected to be referred as a result of the experience throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
The pandemic has changed all of our lives in so many ways and one of the main areas of concern is the detrimental impact on health and wellbeing. NHS trusts are adapting to ensure they have the services available to support employees and our framework has been developed to help you do that. The framework enables you to just select the services you need to help complement an existing in-house provision either by offering extra capacity or services that are not available in-house.
A lot for occupational health on a regional basis means you can choose a supplier that is able to provide services locally in a specific region.
The NHS Workforce Alliance has grouped four of its existing frameworks together to form Workforce Support.
We’ve selected the best aspects of our existing support frameworks and put them in one place as a joint offer under the NHS Workforce Alliance. The package is aimed at providing customers with a route to source additional services in support of health HR and workforce functions.

Call-Off Contract Template
The call off contract template together with all of the accompanying call off contract schedules are available to download. These documents form your call off contract and are to be used whether you direct award or run a further competition.
Call-Off Procedure
Framework Schedule 7 defines the call off procedure and provides details of the direct award and further competition routes to market. The outline processes for each route can be found in the User Guide. Buyers are responsible for their own transparency activity such as publishing contract award notices.
Direct Award is only available if:
- The supplier provides you with the most economically advantageous tender (MEAT) which can include value for money considerations, cost effectiveness, price, quality and social value; or
- The supplier is the only one that can meet your requirement;
AND - In both of the above scenarios, the framework terms and conditions do not need to be amended.
Direct Awards attract framework maximum prices. To improve on framework prices or amend the terms and conditions you will need to further competition.
